If someone can tell me the average price of a patent in the language of NLP means of product-based pricing.
If a professional Indian wants to sell its patent algorithm or a product based on natural language parser produced as, search engine or word processor in the U.S. or Europe in general how software companies pay for a patent developed by an individual outside of their organization. I do not ask about the price paid by such giants as IBM or Microsoft, but general or average price. And what is the potential market for these patents?
This is at negotiation. The value of a patent depends on the income the company expects to do with the product using the patent and the importance of patent for the product. Annual income can vary from thousands to millions. The value of software patents is a bit questionable. In Europe software patents are not admissible. In the U.S., software patents can be granted, but a decision of the Supreme Court last year has clearly increased "bar significantly and could presage the invalidation of software patents in general. I am the "proud" (co-) author of six software patents and patent applications. The company I work for uses in large part to protection. The patents have not yet made a single penny.
